Home / Roadmap

Know the route and evidence sequence before you start paying for documents.

The DNV Roadmap is a written plan for your situation: the practical filing route, the evidence each requirement needs, the document legalisation path, the order of work and the questions that still need resolving. If the route is not currently workable, the Roadmap says that clearly.

Chapter 01

Your route, decided

In Spain through the UGE, or through the competent Spanish consulate for your place of legal residence. The choice changes the procedure, the permission you receive and the practical preparation sequence, so the Roadmap confirms the route before you spend on documents.

Evidence is a chain, not a folder.

A file works when the evidence supports the same dates, relationships and legal conditions. One weak document can create questions elsewhere.

Before and after

From scattered questions to a route you can follow.

Before the Roadmap

  • Route not confirmed
  • Documents ordered before their legalisation path is checked
  • Work and income evidence reviewed separately
  • No clear sequence for time-sensitive documents

After the Roadmap

  • Route selected with the reasoning written down
  • Each requirement linked to evidence
  • Contradictions and gaps identified before filing
  • A practical sequence with dependencies and timing
  1. 01

    Your route, decided

In Spain through the UGE, or through the competent Spanish consulate for your place of legal residence. The choice changes the procedure, the permission you receive and the practical preparation sequence, so the Roadmap confirms the route before you spend on documents.

  2. 02

Your income position against the 2026 threshold

€2,849 per month gross for the main applicant in 2026, plus the applicable family additions. We check your actual figures against the current verified reference, in the currency you are paid, and identify the evidence gap rather than relying on a generic balance figure.

  3. 03

Your work proof, for your route

Self-employed applicants and applicants employed by a company outside Spain need different evidence. We identify which set applies and what each document needs to prove about the foreign activity, relationship history and remote-work arrangement.

  4. 04

Your legalisation path, by country and document

We identify each document's issuing country and document type, then check the current Apostille or diplomatic-legalisation route and the competent authority. If a file contains documents from several countries, each document follows its own verified chain.

  5. 05

    The order of operations

The sequence is document-specific. Often the final Apostille or legalisation should be in place before sworn translation so the translation reflects the certification Spain will receive, but the Roadmap confirms the order for each document instead of assuming one universal chain.

  6. 06

What is missing, and how to fix it

If something in your file is weak or cannot currently support the route, the Roadmap says so plainly and explains what would need to change. The purpose is to catch that before you spend on avoidable legalisation, translation or filing work.
